Dermophil Indien

Dermophil Indien is a historic French skincare brand specializing in protective and reparative products for lips, hands, and skin, known for its natural ingredients and dermatological expertise.

Dermophil Indien was created in 1919 by Parisian pharmacist Joseph Uzac, who initially developed an ointment to protect soldiers from chapping and frostbite during World War I.
The name combines Greek and historical references: "Dermophil" means "skin-loving," and "Indien" refers to Peru balsam, a key ingredient in the original formulation. Over the years, the brand expanded its product line to include sticks for hands (1921) and lips (1950), eventually becoming a benchmark in French skincare.
