Repair & Heal Skin Barrier

These French skincare products will help you repair your skin barrier.

Over washing, harsh acne treatments, overuse of retin-A or AHA or simply aging can led to an impaired skin barrier resulting in redness, sensitivity, thin and grainy skin texture.

Repair & Heal Skin Barrier

What is a damaged skin barrier?
An impaired skin barrier occurs when the stratum corneum can no longer effectively retain moisture or protect against external aggressors.
This leads to dryness, sensitivity, redness, irritation, and increased transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
Common causes include over-exfoliation, harsh surfactants, environmental stress, and inflammatory skin conditions.
Barrier repair focuses on restoring lipids (ceramides, cholesterol, fatty acids), hydration, and reducing inflammation with products such as secret de beaute propolis.
Often going to a bland routine helps: use soap free cleansers such as Dexeryl soothing shower oil or Bioderma AR micellar water. Complete with Barrier cream such as La Roche Posay cicaplaste B5 or Dexeryl emolient cream.
