Alpha Hydroxy Acids, act on the skin by disrupting the bonds that hold cells together, in turn cells fall of the surface of the skin in what we call exfoliation.

All acids have a specific action make sure you pick the correct one for your skin:

Glycolic acid is the smallest and penetrate deeper into the skin, it is best suited for oilier skin, thicker skin or skin with sun damage or environmental damage (sun, smoke, pollution)

Lactic acid is a bigger molecule and because it does go as deep it does not irritate the skin and can be used by sensitive or dry skin. lactic also has lightening action, perfect for skin with hyperpigmentation or sunspots.

Mandelic Acid is antibacterial and lightening making it a perfect peel or serum if you experience acne, acne rosacea or premenopausal acne.
