Closet Swap, Skin Swap: Transitioning Your Routine for Spring

Closet Swap, Skin Swap: Transitioning Your Routine for Spring

Spring is the season of lightness—and your skincare should follow the same rhythm as your wardrobe.

Just as you pack away heavy coats and wool sweaters, your skin no longer needs the thick, occlusive creams that protected it through winter.

  • Warmer temperatures and rising humidity naturally increase oil production, making rich textures feel excessive and sometimes even pore-clogging.

Think of your routine as a closet edit: swap dense balms for lightweight moisturizers, trade creamy cleansers for refreshing gels.

  • Sunny days will also bring up sunspots, and we need to keep them under control with serums and most importantly, bring daily SPF to the front—like your go-to spring jacket.
  • Last like every good closet refresh starts with a deep cleaning; our skin gets thicker and dull in the winter, the best way to get a fresh start is a course of peels, that you can do at home with the correct retinol or acid product for your skin type.

This transition isn’t about replacing everything but refining what your skin actually needs now.

As a rule of thumb, use lighter creams, stronger cleanser to remove sunscreen at the end of day,

....and up the exfoliation as the skin gets thicker and easily clogged in summer.
