Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic Acid is an ingredient that hydrates the skin, gives it water. Its action depends of its molecular weight. At a high molecular weight Hyaluronic acid holds 1000 times its weight in water. At a medium molecular weight is can penetrate deeper in the epidermis to give it a plumper look. At a low molecular weight it has an exfoliating effect. Depending of the humidity in the air it can be counter productive and draw moisture from your skin, this can be avoided by using a cream over your hyaluronic acid serum or using Hyaluronic acid in a cream base such as Ialuset.
